Google+

Google+ is a new addiction that already has a strong hold over its invited members. Google+ amalgamates different areas of social networking together. Circles are groups of friends organized by topic. Sparks takes what you find interesting as a topic by adding to your interests, and then gives you more material based on your likes. Hangouts provide video chat with friends. Huddles is an instant messenger within your groups that were picked in the Circle, Android already has a mobile app for this.  Instant Upload allows anyone to take a photo and instantly put it on Google+, much like uploading a photo to Facebook but it is instantaneous. Google+ is available only in a trial field at this point allowing only those to join through invite, but it should becoming available soon to the public and will be located when you go to the Google page in the top left corner saying, “+You”.

For the high tech intellects that already have their key boards on this fresh social wave of the future, there are some cheats that could be helpful in using Google+ during the field trial stages.  Here are some helpful tools for using different areas of Google+.  Drag links, photos, videos and posts directly into your “share box”. “Circles” are like following people on Twitter. Mention people in your posts by adding + or @ in front of their name, much like on Facebook. Disable your “reshare” when wanting to send a private message to someone. The “timestamp” on a post will display a post with a permalink. There is also a green button and blue button that read either “public" or “friends”, this determines who sees you information and posts. And before you get in some hot water make sure you know to hot buttons: Space=scroll down to stream, Shift space=scroll up to stream, J=single post down scroll, K= single post up scroll, Q=jump to chat, Return=start command, and Tab Return=end command.

With so much more in store and upcoming changes to Google+, keep an eye out for new information, and checking here for the latest on topics that are vital to bright ideas. Do not miss out on opportunities that will excel you into new technologies that can benefit you in both personal and work atmospheres!
